FR Board, short for "Flame-Retardant Board", refers to a type of functional board that is specially processed or manufactured with flame-retardant materials to inhibit or delay combustion when exposed to fire. Its core characteristic lies in meeting specific fire safety standards—unlike ordinary boards that burn easily and spread flames rapidly, FR Boards can either resist ignition, self-extinguish after the fire source is removed, or slow down the spread of fire and the release of toxic smoke, thereby reducing fire hazards and providing more time for personnel evacuation and property protection.
PP flame-retardant boards are made from polypropylene (PP) as the base material, processed by adding flame retardants or using special techniques to achieve flame-retardant properties. They have good flame-retardant effects, effectively delaying or inhibiting the spread of flames, and meet relevant flame-retardant grade standards.
Our boards, with polypropylene as the base material, can effectively balance safety, practicality and economy in the construction industry by virtue of their unique properties, making them an excellent alternative to traditional boards. They possess excellent high flame retardancy. They are not easy to burn when exposed to fire and can slow down the spread of fire. Complying with building fire safety standards, they can significantly reduce fire risks and gain crucial time for personnel evacuation and fire rescue. Meanwhile, they have good weather resistance and corrosion resistance, being able to withstand the erosion of natural factors such as wind, sun exposure and rain.
Besides, they are non-absorbent and not prone to dampness and mildew. In humid scenarios like bathrooms, kitchens or outdoor external walls, they are not easy to deform or corrode, which can extend their service life. With flat, smooth and non-porous surfaces, they feature easy cleaning and maintenance. Stains (such as oil stains and dust) can be directly wiped off with clean water or detergents, resulting in low daily maintenance costs. Therefore, they are particularly suitable for public areas with large passenger flow, kitchens and other places where stains are easy to generate. Compared with traditional boards like wood and stone, PP fire-proof boards also have the advantage of being light in weight yet high in strength. Their lighter weight can reduce the load-bearing burden of building structures, and at the same time, they have high tensile and compressive strength. With convenient installation, they can shorten the construction period and reduce labor costs. In addition, high-quality PP fire-proof boards do not contain harmful volatile substances such as formaldehyde, meeting indoor environmental protection requirements. Moreover, they have stable chemical properties and are not prone to fading, cracking and other problems after long-term use, which can ensure the safety and aesthetics of building spaces.
