The PP sheets, with its diverse properties such as moisture-proof, acid and alkali resistance, light weight, environmental friendliness, and impact resistance, has a wide range of applications and covers various scenarios including construction, furniture, industry, and daily life. Here are some introductions of the PP sheets applied in building and decorations.
Core Advantage
From the perspective of transportation, a single PP sheet is light in weight, allowing more sheets to be loaded onto the same transportation equipment (such as trucks and construction elevators). Compared with transporting steel, stone, or solid wood panels of the same area, it can reduce the number of transportation trips, lower fuel consumption and transportation costs. For example, a small truck can load about 500㎡ of PP moisture-proof sheets, while only 200-300㎡ of wood can be loaded in the same space, increasing transportation efficiency by approximately 60%. At the same time, its lightweight feature eliminates the need for relying on large lifting equipment; it can be directly transported to narrow areas such as high-rise building floors and basements by manual handling or small carts, avoiding transportation route restrictions caused by heavy materials. For instance, during construction in old residential areas where large lifting equipment cannot enter, PP sheets can be manually carried to high floors.
More Benefits
In addition, the combination of the lightweight property and strong toughness of PP sheets can reduce construction losses and lower overall costs. During transportation and construction, they are not easily damaged by collision or extrusion (unlike brittle cement boards and easily broken wood), with a loss rate that can be controlled within 1% (the loss rate of traditional materials is usually 3%-5%). At the same time, since there is no need for additional investment in auxiliary costs such as load-bearing brackets and large transportation equipment, it can further reduce the overall construction cost of building projects, making it particularly suitable for small and medium-sized construction projects with tight schedules and limited budgets.
In General, our PP sheets are lightweight yet durable, with high resistance to corrosion, acid and alkali, as well as moisture and mold-proof properties. PP sheets (polypropylene sheets), leveraging their properties such as light weight, weather resistance, and environmental friendliness, have become a preferred material for lightweight construction (e.g., temporary buildings, modular buildings, and landscape features).
