Our PP boards are lightweight yet durable, with high resistance to corrosion, acid and alkali, as well as moisture and mold-proof properties. In terms of environmental adaptability, our products are resistant to weather and corrosion and anti-ultraviolet. Besides, they are easy to process, functionally adaptable, durable and environmentally friendly. Therefore, our products could be widely applied in the agricultural field.
Core Advantages
PP boards offer numerous advantages in agricultural applications. They have strong chemical resistance, withstanding long-term erosion from pesticides, fertilizers, and acid-alkali solutions without swelling or deterioration, making them ideal for storing agricultural chemicals without contaminating substances like fertilizers or irrigation water. Their excellent water resistance means they absorb little water, remaining durable in wet environments such as greenhouses and fishponds for over 3-5 years, far outperforming wood or cardboard. With UV-resistant additives, they resist sun exposure, aging, and cracking, suitable for outdoor use. Lightweight (density 0.9-0.91g/cm³) and easy to process—cut, welded, or bent into shapes. With lower prices than stainless steel or FRP, they have long lifespans and simple maintenance, resulting in lower costs than concrete or wood in long-term. Their smooth surface resists bacteria and algae, is easy to clean, and the non-toxic material avoids pollution, fitting green agriculture and recyclability. Additionally, their high impact resistance prevents fissuration from collisions, surpassing brittle materials like glass in harsh agricultural operations.
Various Applications
PP boards have diverse applications in agriculture. They are used to make liquid storage and container facilities, such as fertilizer storage tanks, pesticide storage tanks, irrigation water tanks, and can be welded into aquaculture ponds, seedling incubation boxes, and drinking troughs for livestock and poultry. In greenhouse and shed supporting facilities, modified PP boards with certain light transmittance serve as covering materials for greenhouse side walls and skylights, and are used as partition boards for crop zoning and seedling areas inside sheds. For irrigation and water conveyance systems, they are processed into small irrigation channels, water pipes, anti-seepage liners, as well as water storage devices or filter box shells for drip irrigation systems. They also function as auxiliary tools for planting and seedling raising, being cut and spliced into seedling trays, planting troughs, plant support baffles, and serving as nutrient solution tanks and substrate holding plates in soilless cultivation systems. Additionally, they are applied as aquaculture protection and equipment components, including isolation cages and anti-escape boards in aquaculture, and protective baffles for agricultural machinery like splash guards for seeders and harvesters.
