PP board (or PP sheet) is a plastic panel primarily made from polypropylene (abbreviated as PP). Our PP boards are lightweight yet durable, with high resistance to corrosion, acid and alkali, as well as moisture and mold-proof properties. They also offer excellent insulation, making them suitable for the electronics and electrical industries. PP boards are easy to process, supporting welding, cutting, and thermoforming, with a wide temperature resistance range (-10°C to 120°C). When used in laboratory, hygienic PP sheets demonstrates many advantages as followings.
Preventing Chemical Contamination
PP sheets have a dense, non-porous surface and are resistant to acid and alkali corrosion. They can prevent acid and alkali reagents in laboratories from penetrating the sheet material and leaving harmful residues after leakage, thereby stopping reagents from contaminating experimental benches, floors, or surrounding equipment and ensuring subsequent experiments are not affected by cross-contamination.
Preventing Microbial Growth
Food-contact-grade PP sheets are smooth and easy to clean, and can withstand repeated wiping with disinfectants such as ethanol and sodium hypochlorite. They effectively remove surface microorganisms, prevent the growth of bacteria, fungi, etc., in laboratories (especially biological laboratories), and avoid contaminating cultured samples or endangering the health of laboratory personnel.
Preventing Equipment Damage
PP sheets possess impact resistance and weather resistance. When used to wrap laboratory instruments or serve as protective panels for equipment bases, they can prevent instruments from being damaged due to collisions, moisture, or reagent spills, extend the service life of equipment, and reduce the risk of experimental interruption caused by equipment failures.
Preventing Structural Corrosion
When PP sheets are used in scenarios such as laboratory partition walls and fume hood linings, they can resist the erosion of building structures by corrosive gases volatilized during experiments, prevent walls and cabinets from rusting or deforming, and avoid safety hazards caused by structural damage (e.g., wall peeling, cabinet leakage).
