PP material has a stable molecular structure. Our PP sheets are not easy to decompose harmful substances under normal temperature and general usage conditions, nor does it easily react with ingredients such as acids, alkalis, and oils in food, thus effectively preventing food from being contaminated. The application of PP boards in the automotive field benefits from their multiple excellent properties, with significant advantages.
Outstanding Performance
Firstly, they are lightweight, with a density of only about 0.9-0.91g/cm³, which can effectively reduce the overall weight of the car, helping to lower fuel consumption and improve endurance, making them particularly suitable for new energy vehicles. Secondly, they have good chemical stability, being resistant to acids, alkalis, and oil stains, which allows them to withstand erosion from various liquids encountered during car use and extend the service life of components. In addition, they possess certain mechanical strength and toughness, along with good impact resistance, which can meet the structural requirements of automotive parts. Moreover, they have excellent processability, being easy to cut, weld, and injection mold, enabling them to adapt to the production of components with complex shapes. Their relatively low cost is also beneficial for controlling the overall manufacturing cost of the vehicle.
Specific Applications
PP boards are often used to make automotive interior parts, such as door trim panels, instrument panel covers, and seat back panels. Their lightweight nature can reduce the load inside the car, and their surfaces are easy to treat, meeting the aesthetic and texture requirements of the interior. They can also be used for some exterior parts of the car, such as mudguards and radiator grilles, coping with the outdoor environment by virtue of their weather resistance and corrosion resistance. Furthermore, they can be made into some auxiliary parts around the car engine, such as air filter housings and battery housings, ensuring the stable operation of the parts with their oil resistance and insulation properties. Additionally, they are applied in aspects such as car trunk liners and footrest support structures, giving full play to their characteristics of being lightweight and durable.
