Our PPS FR Boards are flame-retardant panels, made from polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) with the addition of flame-retardant components. It maintains functionality under extreme conditions, including high temperature, flame and corrosion, minimizing accident risks. Compared with traditional flame-retardant boards, our products are lighter, reducing overall equipment weight.
PPS sheets (polyphenylene sulfide sheets) are a type of high-performance thermoplastic engineering plastic sheets with excellent comprehensive properties, and they have important applications in many high-end fields.
In terms of performance, PPS sheets first exhibit strong high-temperature resistance. The long-term service temperature can be stably maintained at 200-240℃, and they can even withstand high temperatures above 260℃ in the short term, which enables them to maintain structural stability and mechanical properties in high-temperature environments. Secondly, they have excellent corrosion resistance, with good resistance to acids, alkalis, salts and various organic solvents, and are hardly eroded by common chemical media, making them suitable for use in harsh chemical environments. In addition, PPS sheets also have high mechanical strength, excellent impact resistance and rigidity, as well as good electrical insulation performance, with low dielectric constant and dielectric loss, and the insulation stability is less affected by temperature and frequency. Moreover, they have good dimensional stability and low thermal expansion coefficient, so they are not easy to deform under large temperature changes, and have certain flame retardancy, meeting the UL94 V-0 standard.
In terms of applications, PPS sheets are widely used in the electronic and electrical field, often used to make printed circuit boards, insulating brackets, connectors, etc., using their excellent electrical insulation and high-temperature resistance to ensure the stable operation of electronic components. In the automotive industry, they can be used to manufacture engine peripheral components, transmission parts, sensor housings, etc., which can withstand the high temperature and oil environment in the engine compartment. In the chemical industry, they are suitable for making corrosion-resistant valves, pipes, pump accessories and reactor linings, etc., to resist the erosion of chemical media. In addition, in the aerospace field, they can be used as materials for some structural parts and functional parts to meet the requirements of lightweight and high-temperature resistance; in mechanical manufacturing, they can also be used to make precision gears, bearing cages and other wear-resistant parts.
